I happen to be

a Chartered Accountant with an additional degree in Law.  LOTUS KNOWLWEALTH, the company I co-promoted, is Knowledge driven with its business verticals revolving around the Indian Capital Market.

LOTUS KNOWLWEALTH’s  initiatives include

advising corporates on strategy, capital market positioning and structuring, management decision-making and corporate governance related issues. A niche area of specialization includes Annual Report and Financial Statements Content Engineering and Presentation. Our other key strategic areas include Risk Adjusted Portfolio Structuring and Asset Allocation. The backbone of our service offerings at LKW remains our strong Research Team.

My entry into the capital market was

Accidental, and whatever I know thereof today, has been learnt hands-on.  My best ( and longest lasting ) lessons have come on the occasions I lost money while being a market participant. While the stock-market continues to fascinate me, it remains just that, and has never been an obsession.

During the course of close to two decades

in the Indian capital market and  undertaking professional assignments, I have interacted with several industry leaders and capital market experts, and strategized for investors across India and overseas on portfolio structuring and asset allocation.

It flatters me to be told

that I am rated amongst the best in the business on the primary market (IPO)  analysis  front in India and to be referred to as ‘theIPOguru’ on television.     

Writing is one of my greatest passions

and in this regard, I have been blessed. My syndicated columns and opinions on various Asset Classes including the Indian Capital Market, Real Estate, Gold and the economic scenario have been solicited and published by leading international and Indian publications like THE INTERNATIONAL HERALD TRIBUNE, THE ASIAN WALL STREET JOURNAL, BUSINESS STANDARD, HINDUSTAN TIMES, THE TIMES OF INDIA , BUSINESS INDIA and  BUSINESS TODAY. A EUROMONEY affiliate hosts my views on business and stock-market related issues on commercial websites across U.S.A, Europe and South-East Asia.

It was a pleasure and challenge to oversee the compilation, editing and presentation of a WORLD BANK-CRISIL-ICICI sponsored book on “EXTERNAL DEBT MANAGEMENT – Role of Financial Intermediaries” in 2001 . 

Featuring as an Expert on business television channels like

CNBC TV 18, NDTV PROFIT, ZEE BUSINESS, UTVi BUSINESS and  TIMES NOW-REUTERS ( Live Budget Analysis,2006 ) business television channels, besides international television channels like CNN and  CNBC ASIA and national channels like, NDTV,  CNN-IBN, STAR TV  and DOORDARSHAN has been challenging, yet enjoyable most of the time.

Being a key speaker at

CNBC’s INVESTOR CAMP and the exclusive MASTER CLASS series too was a good interactive experience that gave me a better insight into investor psychology .

Teaching is another great passion of mine

And here I am doubly blessed that Prestigious Management Institutions in and outside Mumbai have me as a Visiting Faculty for the subject, ‘Security Analysis and Portfolio Management.’  The interaction with the student fraternity exhilarates me even today and the students I have taught are always accorded first priority whenever we recruit at LOTUS KNOWLWEALTH.

My achievements over the last two decades include
